College, marriage, travel, photography, volunteering. Those are the highlights. Twenty years is a long time to recount everything.
What are your best memories from High School?:
All the dances, mostly the proms. Classes by Jenny Jerue and Emma Brabson. Basketball and football games. Taking pictures for the yearbook & newspaper. Friendly meetings before, during and after classes. Learning to drive. Study hall - oh, my gawd, study hall - what was that woman's name?!?!? Biology with John & Scott. Lunch. Good times.

What have you been up to for the last 20 years?:
After high school I hung out for a year not really doing anything productive. Right after my 19th birthday, I decided I really needed to have some kind of goal in mind so on a whim, I joined the United States Air Force. While trying to figure out what my job would be I decided to give law enforcement a try and fell in love. I completed all of my training state side and then I was off to Germany. I lived overseas for two years and traveled all over Europe. Absolutely the most amazing adventure ever! After my tour ended I moved back to Abingdon and decided to go Highlands. I graduated from Highlands and immediately began work at the Bristol VA Police Department. I have been there for 13 years now. I started as a patrol officer and worked the streets for 4 1/2 years before making detective. Just recently I was accepted and graduated from the Forensic Science Academy in Richmond, VA. During all of this I married and had my son, Austin. He is 16 years old and oh my what an adventure mothering a teenage boy has been! Austin's dad and I divorced my first year at the police department and a short time later I met my husband, Robby. He is a deputy sheriff in Bristol and my best friend and soul mate. I absolutely got it right the second time around. We just celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary and are truly just enjoying life. Robby and I made the decision to raise my half brother, Dakota about 7 years ago. He is 13 years old and way to much like me at that age. :0 I will absolutely have my hands full with him. Overall our lives are full and blessed!

I got married in '93 and moved to Maryland. Lived in Maryland for 14 years and just moved back to Johnson City, TN in July '07. Just finished building our house and trying to get settled. I have two wonderful boys: Chris is 8 and Nick is 6.

I grad. from ETSU, and I worked in surgery for 13 years, then I worked for a 3 doc. group doing cataractsand eye lid procedures. Now I have went into my famlies bussiness, doing something completely different from what I'm used to doing, Steel Fabricating,yes you heard me, completely different huh?! I'm a single mom and loving it ,I'm my sons soccer coach and my daughters dance partner.

What have you been up to for the last 20 years?:
After graduation went to college and played tennis and volleyball. After several injuries and surgery, I now coach my kids and only wakeboard and play church softball. I've lived in several different cities ... never thought I'd settle down in Abingdon, but really love it here now. I now work 45-50 hours a week and spend as much time with my family as possible.
What are your best memories from High School?:
Certainly being a part of the championship volleyball, basketball and tennis teams has great memories for me. Cruising McDonald's and giving the "rent-a-cop" a hard time is a good memory too. Trying to rewind my cassette tape back to the beginning of "Pour some sugar on me" or "Rock of Ages" makes me laugh now ... had to have a good song on along with the windows down and heat pumping in the winter time. (Kids don't appreciate how easy cds are). Sometimes my Mom would let me cruise when she was with me ... she'd duck down in the passenger seat so no one could see her.
Comments:

Not to sound like everyone else, but it's unbelievable that it's been 20 years.  Looking forward to seeing everyone and laughing about the past!  Things that used to seem so important don't mean much at all any more.

I went to VI and graduated with a BA in Paralegal Studies. I moved to Roanoke VA and married my husband, Chris. We will have our 15th anniversary this June! I worked as a paralegal for 5 1/2 years. I have been a mortgage loan processor for the past 9 1/2 years. We mountain bike (me just for the fun of it and my husband races for the thrill of it)! We have no children, but 2 very spoiled cats!

Cruising around town and hanging out with friends!

What are your best memories from High School?:
I almost forgot about running the "Porky Shuttle" at Tracy's house. Greg Farmers Party. Senior Day at the lake that we almost sunk a platoon boat. Riding around in A-town. Trout fishing trip at straight branch. Concerts in Johnson City.

I have worked the last 7 years with Navy Federal Credit Union which was rated in Fortune 100 BEST Companies to work for 2008. Many - I look back and really there are too many to figure out which one to elaborate on, however, Im sure we will hear many on August 2nd:):):)
